Jensen Hughes has a career opening for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer/Project Manager in our Baltimore, MD, Rockville, MD or Arlington, VA offices. We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety, fire protection, security, and mass notification on commercial, institutional, and industrial projects for clients worldwide. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience that ideally includes a combination of Code Consulting, Performance Based Design, and Fire Protection System Design. Candidates should be a registered Professional Engineer with proven project management and fire protection engineering experience.

Plan and direct engineering activities for your own projects.
Conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses.
Design fire protection systems including fire alarm, sprinkler and special hazard systems.
Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
Be a key player in Business Development activities.
10+ years of experience in code consulting, design of fire suppression and alarm systems, and developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment.
Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies and have good communication and negotiating skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, enjoy professional challenges and desire to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.
