Exelon Security Communications Specialist in BALTIMORE, Maryland
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Communications Specialist is responsible for planning and executing internal organization-wide communications and change management programs in support of Corporate & Information Security Services (CISS) communications strategy. This person serves as a point of contact, ensuring full integration with corporate and business unit/operating company communications organizations to ensure a well-informed workforce.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure effective communication of corporate goals, initiatives, changes and activities to employees.
Support and participate in communications programs and initiatives.
Produce accurate, compelling, and editorially proficient written communications.
Work with manager to ensure effectiveness of business meetings, special activities, and relationships with internal and external constituencies.
Oversee a variety of communication tasks to support CISS leadership, including talking points, short presentations, video, eLearning, and online messages.
Assist in resource-sharing duties within the Security Awareness Training department.
4-year relevant degree and a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in internal or external communications.
Demonstrated business acumen.
Energy business/industry knowledge.
Understanding of organizational communications
Proven communications skills – both written and interpersonal.
Excellent writing skills and self-motivation.
Willingness to learn and undertake new projects and adapt to changing priorities.
Critical thinking skills.
