The Global People Operations team strives to create and deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. Leading with care and empathy, we develop efficient and simple people processes, systems, policies, and programs. We deliver data that is useful and accurate to create People-related strategies across the business. We develop technology-driven solutions to scale and automate common employee activities. We strive to ensure employees feel heard and given the resources and support they need during the most important moments during their careers.The Metrics Governance Analyst will elevate the importance of Data Quality. You will be responsible for ensuring structured and governed data sets to support our insights team that identifies areas for improvement around our HR products and processes. You will be passionate about highlighting challenges in our current HR data environment and work to put controls in place to improve the quality of our data through our core systems and introduce aligned taxonomies end-to-end. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and analytical skills and will thrive managing concurrent projects while working with a global team to drive outcomes. SQL, Python, Tableau proficiency is required.

Required Skills:

  1. Maintain and develop Metrics Library and code-base (SQL) used to drive consistency across our systems and business processes, and recommend opportunities for improvement

  2. Develop control structures within our existing HR Technology data environment to ensure accuracy and quality of data throughout our data channels

  3. Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps with business owners and engineering to standardize data structures

  4. Ensure controls are in place over HR applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis

  5. Provide strong thought leadership with the business and engineering that involve upstream and downstream data flows and processes

  6. Strong understanding of databases and data structures

  7. Act as an internal consultant by understanding business data infrastructure needs, scoping data requests, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with other members of analytics teams

  8. Apply your technical expertise to help solve, inform, influence how our HR tools capture data and support decision making for our HR technology team

  9. Use tools and programming languages like Tableau, Hive, R, SQL, Python,and many other internal tools to work efficiently at scale

  10. Develop and enforce data quality metrics outside of the data warehouse

  11. Enforce data best practices and alignment with the business, research, analytics, and engineering teams

  12. Effectively communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver solutions in a timely fashion

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years experience with large-scale data management, data structures, and data schemas (i.e., relational database structures)

  2. 3+ years experience with SQL/python and ETL processes (or similar languages aimed at querying relational databases)

  3. Experience manipulating large data sets through statistical software or other methods

  4. Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance

  5. Experience processing and analyzing data sets, interpreting them for making business decisions

  6. Experience having effective conversations with clients about their support needs and requirements

  7. Proven professionalism and customer-service skills

  8. Experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS in a field that emphasizes data analysis governance (e.g., computer science, math, engineering, or statistics), or equivalent work experience

  2. Strongly preferred: 3+ years experience with Salesforce, Workday, Tableau, Visier and similar tools and systems required

  3. Experience with R, Python, or a similar scripting language

  4. Experience working with HR/organizational people data, data warehousing, and data marts

  5. Strong project management skills
