Samsung Electronics America Line Planning Project Manager in Austin, Texas

Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

  • Overall strategic utility planning for the site through long term and short term execution of cleanroom piping and exhaust distribution concept development and design, support of facility equipment utility planning as well as hook-up design package generation and review.

  • KTA Package reviews

  • AutoCAD layout designs, and interact closely with Facility Services, Unit Parts, GCS, PCS, EH&S and CRT.

  • Oversee tool installs, laterals, GCS, electrical, and core-holes

  • Partner with Line Planning team members and tool hook up design to develop and maintain site mechanical drawings

  • Direct contract designers to execute design packages as needed

  • Review and redline design packages prior to IFC

  • Managing stakeholders in a customer-service oriented team

  • Develop and modify site specifications to align with ongoing site improvements

  • Future scenario planning support including schedule forecasting and reporting

  • Review and approval of RFI’s

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year CAD/Drafting degree.

  • 4 to 6 years design experience; semiconductor facility support preferred.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, IBC and other codes and standards applicable to industrial facility design and construction.

  • Experience managing and leading projects including design, specification, and construction administration

  • Ability to read and understand design plans, shop drawings, and work in progress

  • Familiarity with design and installation of facility equipment, or design and construction of industrial buildings.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills are required to communicate technical content to various organizations

  • Aptitude for documentation and data analysis using MS Office programs, including Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD

  • Proficiency in 3D AutoCAD is a plus

  • Ability to work overtime / on non-scheduled days as required
