Facebook Finance Analyst, Network Fiber in Austin, Texas

Summary:

The FP&A team manages Facebook’s entire budget of revenue and expense. We focus on using our unique view into ‘the numbers’ to see trends and opportunities that are developing within Facebook and within related industries. Successful candidates for this team have a bias toward action, have exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast.In this role, you will join a team that manages the finances for Facebook’s network infrastructure. This group is responsible for scaling our network for more than 2 billion monthly active users. Facebook’s rapid growth is driving an unprecedented increase in our global network footprint as we strive to reach more people with an expanding product portfolio while improving both performance and reliability. You will gain invaluable experience in this position which offers significant responsibility and interaction with management as well as considerable opportunity to have a large impact within a growing Finance organization. You will be responsible for evaluating network business models and producing insightful financial metrics to support our network backbone business. Required Skills:

  1. Responsible for publishing monthly/quarterly Financial and Operational reporting packages for the Network Infrastructure Finance and Business teams. Develop dashboards for automating reporting packages

  2. Partner with Finance Managers in the Network team to produce consolidated financial reporting and variance analysis for Finance leadership

  3. Assist developing/uploading Capex/Opex forecasts in Essbase

  4. Play a key role in developing Cash Capex & Treasury Funding forecasts for Network Finance

  5. Partner with engineering & sourcing contacts to manage procurement approval process across the Network Infrastructure team

  6. Interface with Finance Managers, Accounting and different Sourcing Operations teams to identify CAPEX and OPEX accruals for Month End and Quarter End close process

  7. Support process improvement efforts by partnering with up-stream process owners and enhance current tools/systems related to Infrastructure financial management

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree

  2. 3+ years of experience in Business or Financial related roles

  3. Proficient at using Excel and Financial Related Software to maintain financial reporting packages on an ongoing basis

  4. Detailed oriented to ensure reporting accuracy

  5. Experience building financial models

  6. Proficient at building & preparing PowerPoint presentations to delivering analytical presentations to a group of key stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience establishing relationships with business partners and other cross functional stakeholders

  2. Experience managing multiple simultaneous workstreams across multiple business units

  3. Experience in scripting (SQL, R)

  4. Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure network industry concepts
