Kimley-Horn Experienced Transportation Civil EIT in Austin, Texas


Kimley-Horn's Transportation Planning & Traffic Operations team is looking for an experienced civil EIT to join our Austin, TX office. Interested candidates must have a willingness to perform general civil engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Concept plans

  • Signal timing

  • Safety, corridor, and/or long-range planning studies

  • Bike and pedestrian studies

  • Traffic impact analysis

  • Multimodal transportation planning

Position Requirements:

  • EIT certification

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience using Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Synchro and/or other traffic analysis software applications

  • Communicating technical thoughts clearly and concisely

  • Works well within a team, including both taking direction and supervising

  • Excellent technical writing skills

  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

  • Detail-oriented

  • Team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment

  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities
