Salesforce's Customer Success Group (CSG) is on a mission to help Customers achieve business goals faster and get the most out of Salesforce. As a Technical Program Director for CSG’s New Product Introduction team , you will be part of a dynamic, global team coordinating readiness across CSG's key functions - Support, Success, Professional Services, Renewals. In this role, you will work closely with our Cloud GTM Strategy Leads, CSG and TMP Execs to prioritize CSG's response to NPI.

This seasoned IT professional will have a solid technical background and significant experience with Product Management, Program Management, as well as with Public/Private Cloud services. This role will require an ongoing proficiency in all aspects of Project Management plan-driven methodology including Execution & Governance of Steering Committees and Program Operating Models

With strong emotional intelligence and high conflict resolution skills, you will rally the cross-functional teams that sometimes span multiple time zones and hold the teams and individuals accountable for timelines and deliverables. You will provide hands-on management of projects and proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans to keep them on track.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads Exec SteerCos to prioritize CSG's response to NPI, then manages, tracks and provides consolidated reporting on progress.

  • Effectively coaches teams in industry-leading practices for project scope and schedule management.

  • Removes blockers and mitigates project risks maximizing team productivity and ensuring on-time delivery.

  • Balance business needs with the technical constraints, drive creative solution discussions, and negotiate trade-offs as needed.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and drive best practices across teams.

  • Cultivate effective, trusted working relationships with matrix teams located globally across time-zones.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (MBA optional)

  • 10+ years’ experience in technology industry in direct, hands-on experience in program management.

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, confident communicator with the ability to present complex issues and solutions in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level executives

  • Ability to drive work independently, identifying solutions, and moving them to implementation.

  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment with a highly collaborative, team oriented approach to problem solving

  • Proven leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment: A proven track record as a decisive, action-oriented individual, who has led cross-functional global teams to define and achieve high value objectives.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Creative and critical thinking ability

  • Strong project/program management skills, including prioritization and ability to multi-task

  • Achieves positive outcomes by identifying common interests, clarifying differences, and achieving consensus or compromise.

  • Strong teaming abilities as well as demonstration of effective virtual teaming

  • Enterprise software / Software-as-a-Service experience (SaaS)

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Salesforce technology experience preferred
