Urology Austin Credentialing Specialist in Austin, Texas
High school diploma required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of credentialing experience within a clinic or physician practice is required.
Strong working knowledge of insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
Proficiency in computer software use, including Microsoft Office, EMR and Practice Management systems.
Effective time management and the ability to prioritize work.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management, staff, and physicians.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complies and maintains current and accurate data for all providers
Completes provider credentialing and recredentialing applications: monitors applications and follows-up as needed.
Maintains copies of current licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
Maintains corporate provider files and work with HR to keep file current.
Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing providers.
Sets up and maintains provider credentialing in online credentialing database system and system.
Tracks license and certificate expiration for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies, and other entities.
Processes applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges.
Tracks license, DEA, and professional liability expirations for appointed providers.
Maintains Urology Austin appointment files and information in credentialing database.
Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information.
Other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Performs all duties and services in full compliance with the Urology Austin Core Values.
