NAPA Anesthesia Courier / Biller - Part Time in Austin, Texas
This courier provides the safe and secure transportation of patient medical records from 15 different facilities in the Austin area to the Austin billing office. The courier must have a clean driving record and will have access to the company car to pick up records on a daily basis. Billing Specialist-This position promotes the efficient front end processing of medical records against the daily schedule by obtaining records, making sure no records are missing, scanning and merging records into the Medsuite system so RCM can code and bill insurance.
Communicates with providers and hospital billing staff regarding verification of patient and insurance demographic information.
Investigates missing medical records and QCDR forms
Interfaces with other departments, external providers or clients, as may be required, to resolve errors.
Coordinates activities with other team members to insure timely distribution of work to outside locations.
Remains knowledgeable and current on third party requirements, and regulatory guidelines at the federal, state, and local levels.
Reports to work, meetings and professional obligations on time.
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Serves as a member of the Front End Team. Performs duties necessary to ensure the team's projects/goals are completed.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
This individual will need to be able to work close to the Austin, TX location.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with basic office equipment-Printing, Scanning, Merging, Filing, etc.
- High School Diploma required. One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
