VCA Veterinary Technology- Neurology in Aurora, Illinois

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is expanding its Neurology Service and is seeking Veterinary Technicians!

VCA Aurora is open 24/7, 365 days a year, and provides a wide range of specialty, critical care, emergency service, and primary care. We offer a team approach to veterinary medicine where specialists work together to provide the most advanced care possible for every patient utilizing the newest diagnostic equipment and therapeutic techniques.

Our Neurology Service:

VCA Aurora’s Neurology Service comprises of two board-certified neurologists, Licensed Technicians, and Veterinary Assistants. Our board-certified neurologist perform intricate examinations, diagnostic testing, and neurologic surgeries.

Day To Day Of Our Neurology Technicians:

Our Neurology Technicians are exposed to diverse and stimulating caseload. Our Neurology Technicians provide exceptional care to every patient. Technical skills are sharpened, and new techniques are learned every day. Skills that our Neurology Technicians utilize, but are not limited to:

  • Anesthesia monitoring

  • Collecting patient histories

  • Physical examinations and patient assessment

  • Venipuncture/IVC placement

  • Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

  • Pharmacy

  • Creating individualized anesthetic protocols in collaboration with Neurologists

  • Surgical preparation

  • Patient recovery

  • Work collaboratively with team members of all hospital services

Schedule : Full-Time, four 10-hour weekdays.
