A World of Difference.General Maintenance Journeyman MechanicMISSION / SUMMARY:We currently have openings for General Maintenance Journeyman Mechanic candidates who have a passion for safety, are self-starters, takes initiative, can communicate effectively, and can work independently in a manufacturing environment. We offer technologically advanced operations, leading edge training, outstanding benefits, and employment with a proven and stable community leader.This position performs mechanical troubleshooting in a heavy industrial environment. Specific skills necessary include calibration, troubleshooting, proper repair, precision installation, successful start-up, precision alignment and reliability of all related facility equipment. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.Commitment to safety and qualityWork any shift and/or a rotating shift scheduleWork overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notificationWork holidays and/or weekends on a regular basisAbility to learn through self-directed study and desire for advancementWear required personal protective equipment (hard hat, earplugs, steel-toed boots, safety glasses at a minimum)Operate or work in industrial conditions - may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)Excellent attendance record with flexibility to work rotating shifts & overtimeThe ability to work independently and in a team environmentFrequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and climbing.Ability to move wrists, hands, and/or fingers to turn valvesand make adjustments to equipment.Ability to climb ladders and work in high places.Maintains cooperative working relationships, demonstrates a positive attitude and consideration towards fellow employees and supervision.Performs all duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision.BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:Minimum Journeyman skill...
