We are wanting aMonitoring Operatorto join our team!

As our Monitoring Operatoryou are responsible for handling a wide variety of inbound and outbound calls looking after the safety of all our monitored alarm customers. When the alarm of an ADT monitored system activates you will assess what is happening and notify the owner and alert emergency services.

Our Contact Centre team are a really genuine caring community with engaged managers who are open and always available to help. As well as a great team we are well located in Onehunga with plenty of free parking and we are a 2 minute walk from the Te Papapa train station which is a 20 minute trip from the CBD.

Monitoring Operator responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer’s alarm events quickly and efficiently and take appropriate actions in response to these

  • Our contact centre is 24/7 with some weekend work required. Shift allowances are also applied

  • Ensure that all alarms and events and customer calls relating to these alarms are managed accurately and that dealings with all customers are professional & courteous

  • Pro-actively manage ADT’s database and provide prompt, professional advice and response to queries by internal & external customers

  • Respond to all general customer care enquiries and complaints, explain the use of products/services including, but not limited to: billing questions, updating customer billing information, basic alarm system troubleshooting

  • Complete daily tasks associated with the customers’ alarm systems such as, incoming and outgoing written correspondence

    Who are we looking for:

  • Able to speak Mandarin and English fluently

  • Experience in Customer Services or Sales

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills with a minimum typing speed of 40wpm

  • Team focused attitude

  • Ability to multitask and work independently

  • Ability to obtain and hold a Certificate of Approval
