Atlanta Airlines Terminal Corporation FACILITY SUPERINTENDENT - CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE in Atlanta, United States

Position Summary:

The Facility Superintendent is responsible for monitoring the condition and use of the Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC) and the overall airport for the purpose of maintaining a comfortable, safe, functional and healthy environment and to ensure a unified approach to solving building shortcomings.

As the first line of defense representing the customer, the Facility Superintendent serves an important role in identifying and resolving issues impacting the customer’s experience at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a continuous process improvement by studying processes and procedures in assigned facility to identify causes for non-compliance, communicating findings to applicable contractor and AATC Supervisor, and recommending corrective action.

  • Perform assigned periodic Preventative Maintenance checks, i.e., Fire Extinguisher P.M., Elevator & Emergency Telephone P.M., Dumpster P. M., etc.).

  • Respond to ad-hoc tenant requests through coordination with housekeeping services and maintenance.

  • At the request of the Airlines, responds to special requirements through coordination with housekeeping services and maintenance.

  • Ensure all health, safety and security procedures are adhered to and areas of concern are reported to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.

  • Ensure service contracts are enforced, service levels are achieved, and contractors are adequately supervised when on site.

  • Provide written and verbal reports about the quality of services, problem areas, etc. and follows up on discrepancies.

  • Maintain working relationships with the customers, tenants, contractors, and AATC Staff to ensure the highest level of communications and customer service about facility maintenance issues.

  • Continuously review the performance of custodial contractors to insure that services rendered meet contract specifications, and that the facility is maintained to prescribed standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Notes deficiencies, initiates corrective action, and follows up to ensure that work is promptly performed in a satisfactory manner.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general maintenance and/or custodial services.

  • Associates Degree Preferred. Applicable work experience may substitute for educational requirements.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends and holidays). Available for on call.

  • Must be able to pass requirements for approval for an ATL badge with customs seal. This includes a 10-year background search by finger print analysis.
