Description
Our client is a public company needing a < B >Corporate Tax Manager< /B >. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of federal and state income tax and property tax returns, as well as the calculation of quarterly estimated tax payments and tax provisions. You will also support the Director of Tax by providing research and documentation on federal and state income tax matters. Responsibilities of the Corporate Tax Manager include:
Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify issues and conflicts; actively communicate solution options to team
Prepare deliverables such as financial statements, tax returns, work papers, etc.; complete technical and strategic reviews to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery
Demonstrate excellent technical skills for handling all company responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.
Understand the organization's procedures and internal policies
Prepare and review complex tax returns including federal, state and franchise returns
Develop and manage team relationships
Strategize on tax planning
Prepare strategic recommendations to achieve company goals and assist in pinpointing opportunities for growth
Research tax issues and providing guidance
Cultivate a team environment and build a positive and dynamic culture

Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field
Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress
Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in corporate tax compliance required
Proficiency in tax prep software required
FAS 109 experience preferred
Previous corporate tax experience in a Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm strongly preferred
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability, strong operation and project management skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the firm, both internally and externally
Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, be a self-starter as well as possess excellent teamwork skills
