Position title: Senior IT Telephony Engineer

Reports to: Manager, IT Telephony Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Role Description:

We are seeking a Voice Engineer resource who specializes in Microsoft Teams Phone System Upgrades and Migration. The position will analyze and deliver solutions on the MS Teams and Audiocodes platform. The ideal candidate will be able to plan, deploy, and manage and successfully test MS Direct Routing, Endpoints, Teams Clients and Phone System capabilities. You will recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various On-Premises, Cloud-based, and Hybrid Resources. Your technical expertise will be vital, as you work to ensure standards are met throughout the Cloud migration process. This is an opportunity to use the latest Cloud technologies to improve our customer's environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and promote adoption for MS Teams that aligns with the customer’s business needs and requirements

  • Work directly with customers to learn, understand, articulate and document existing processes

  • Define an approach and guide the customer and end-users on best practices by promoting and championing MS Teams

  • Work together with multiple departments to successfully complete a project

  • Develop and conduct training materials and deliver training successfully to end users

  • Guide business units through a new process and “coach” them through the new experience

  • Deliver workshops and user sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in business process analysis, development and improvements

  • 5+ years consulting experience

  • 5+ years project management experience

  • 5+ years’ experience using Microsoft Teams

  • Experience with deploying and managing Microsoft Teams Direct routing and Calling Plans

  • Experience with upgrades from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams

  • Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Teams endpoints

  • Experience installing, configuring and testing Audiocodes gateways and SBCs

  • Experience using Audiocodes ARM and OVOC

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified in Teams (Preferred)

  • Audiocodes Certified

  • PMP (Preferred)

  • Experience with implementing governance and life cycle management for Microsoft Teams

  • Solid Understanding of Telephony Fundamentals and Best Practices

  • Solid Understanding of Troubleshooting Methodology

  • Solid Understanding of VoIP

  • Understand Teams Governance

  • Dedication to customer satisfaction and getting it right the first time

  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills

  • Positive attitude towards change and ability to adapt

  • Self-starter, taking required initiative and actively doing their due diligence in role, tasks, projects, troubleshooting
