Google Risk Program Manager, People Operations in Atlanta, Georgia

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management, including 5 years managing related programs globally

  • Experience using data and analytics in support of risk and compliance initiatives

  • People management experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously with a focus on drive and execution

  • Experience analyzing data and presenting trends to peers and executive leadership

  • Ability to work with multiple teams across functions and geographies

  • Ability to lead complex programs/projects, with a desire to contribute across a wide array of work-streams

  • Demonstrated customer-management capabilities, and an ability to influence at all levels in the organization

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, and comfortable leading through ambiguity

As a Risk Program Manager, you will be a part of a team responsible for implementing solutions to reduce risk, ensure fairness, and drive simplicity in Google’s people programs, processes, and policies. You’ll partner with teams to drive initiatives that enhance Google’s compliance strategy. You’ll identify compliance-related vulnerabilities, and play an essential role in developing and implementing strategies to improve practices.

  • Serve as a risk lead and partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and other partners to understand business imperatives, company/local culture, legal risks, financial burden, and reputational risks

  • Lead a global risk management program for People Operations by identifying and evaluating ongoing, emerging, or new risks in collaboration with functional and enterprise-wide teams

  • Develop and leverage enterprise-wide partnerships to effectively align goals, collaborate, and track progress on risk and compliance efforts

  • Review People Operations practices, programs and policies to identify potential compliance risks and provide recommendations to address deficiencies

  • Engage across cross-functional teams such as People Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Engineering
