Chick-fil-A Project Management Lead, Finance in Atlanta, Georgia
Overview
The Financial Analytics & Automation Team strives to drive financial and process transformation to ensure Chick-fil-A’s financial health for years to come. This team aims to steward the gap between ideation, art-of-the-possible and meaningful insights. The Project Management Lead role provides overall leadership of project management activities to support the execution of key Financial Services initiatives. This includes establishment of templates, tools and best practices to be used within the department. This role will both serve as a project manager on significant Financial Services/Financial Strategy initiatives and coordinate the use of any external project management resources as needed to support the overall plan. This role requires a high level of autonomy, communication, collaboration, facilitation and organizational planning skills to meet shared objectives for the department.
Responsibilities
Serve as a project manager for significant Financial Services/Financial Strategy Team initiatives
Facilitate use of project management tools and systems
Ensure creation of project charters for Financial Services initiatives, as well as manage progress towards stated goals
Navigate project scope, risk and issue resolution
Adapt work as required to meet project deadlines
Translate initiatives into actionable strategies to drive results
Lead project planning sessions from start to finish
Act as a coordinator to influence outcomes across internal, external and cross-functional teams
Manage relationships with external project management resources
Conduct project reviews and create status reports for Financial Services leadership
Create project management templates, tools and resources to be used across Financial Services
Serve as liaison to the Enterprise Project Management team to ensure organization-wide strategic alignment
Crosstrain as back-up for Financial Services Planning/Budgeting project management efforts
Provide and present strategic recommendations on projects and team processes
Minimum Qualifications
Strong organizational and planning skills
Financial acumen
Experience facilitating and managing multiple deadlines and business partners
Proven capacity in building relationships within diverse organizational areas
Self-motivation with high level of initiative
Demonstrates eagerness to learn and assume responsibility
Ability to deal with ambiguity and change in a dynamic business environment
Detail orientation with problem-solver mindset
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Project management/scrum master certification
