Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist with coordinating funded health department activities and tracking progress on related workplans. This includes assisting in monitoring milestones and timelines for workplans; monitoring the plan and helping to resolve any issues or roadblocks by working with the team and the Project Firstline leadership; monitoring and reporting on the progress of the plan.

  • Assist Project Firstline team in health department communications and engagements. Attend all calls and take notes on calls. Track health department questions and requests and ensure timely follow-up.

  • Monitor communications from health departments, including through the Project Firstline email inbox, and alert Project Firstline team with urgent requests, issues, etc. Engage with relevant Project Firstline SMEs and leadership to assist with communications and follow-ups, and draft email outreach and responses.

  • Monitor health department workplan activities and alert public health team to obstacles to timely and effective execution of activities.

  • Coordinate with relevant teams on Project Firstline and/or DHQP to support the effective execution of activities that require CDC support. Support needs may include the identification and scheduling of an SME to participate in an activity, the review of materials by SMEs or Communications staff, scheduling of calls with partners, etc.

  • Provide planning and logistical support to any train-the-trainer activities for health departments on the Project Firstline curriculum.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What is required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree combined with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of health communication or health education.
