Overview
The Lead Analyst, Data Literacy is responsible for the curation, implementation and facilitation of Data Literacy development opportunities for the 250+ member cross-functional Community of Practicing Analysts (COPA). The Lead Analyst, Data Literacy specifically focuses on curating content and development opportunities for the diverse set of data and analytics capabilities and needs among COPA, but will also be expected to provide hands-on analytics support and coaching. With common Data Literacy objectives and skillsets, analysts will be better equipped to optimally apply data, analytics and technology to business problems to generate value for the business. This role reports to the Principal Analytics Lead, Enterprise Analytics.
Responsibilities
Facilitate a breadth of informational, educational, and social engagements for the more than 200 members of the Community of Practicing Analysts (COPA)
Partner with Enterprise Analytics subteams and COPA members to ensure the ongoing success of existing and new analytics user groups across the business
Assist analysts with ad hoc analytics needs in support of hands-on learning and development for analysts in their respective lines of business
Refine and monitor Data Literacy assessment tools with the goal of aiding analysts in identifying strengths and opportunities for continued development
Evaluate Data Literacy development needs of cross-functional analyst groups through audience and stakeholder analysis and create learning objectives and KPIs
Effectively partner and collaborate with other groups and departments, including Enterprise Analytics subteams, analyst teams in lines of business, analyst People Leaders and Talent Development
Align Data Literacy development needs with new and existing learning platforms and resources to curate structured analyst onboarding and learning paths
Lead the development of content, resources and materials through effective collaboration with internal teams and vendor partnerships
Partner with appropriate cross-functional teams and vendor partners to deploy trainer, facilitator, logistics and resources
Pilot and test content and delivery solutions, integrating changes and updates to continuously improve
Provide feedback to facilitators, vendor partners and cross-functional collaborators
May advise on vendor selection and vendor contracts when appropriate for outsourced analytics or facilitator needs
Identify, measure and report on appropriate metrics related to participation, engagement and content
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years in a data and analytics role, having strong familiarity with a breadth of data and analytics terminology and methodology
Strong facilitation skills and ability to effectively capture the attention of small and large audiences (up to 250+)
Proficiency in Tableau and Alteryx analytics softwares and SQL programming
Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services, with particular familiarity with Redshift and S3
Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new skills with enough proficiency to teach others
Demonstrated ability to distill technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience with blended learning methods and practices
Ability to collaborate and interact well with various audiences such as direct work team, program attendees, various Support Center teams and business partners
Demonstrated ability to multi-task
Expertise in written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving, detail orientation and prioritization skills
Self-starter / strong initiative
Ability to be flexible, adaptable and creative
Bachelor’s Degree in field related to data and analytics (B.S. Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with multiple modern business intelligence platforms
Experience in Python or R scripting languages
Working knowledge of Thoughtspot software
Master’s degree in data and analytics or education-related field
Experience presenting to senior leaders
