Job Description:

At Regions, the Design Manager manages the intake, creation, development, and implementation of learning solutions to support role-based training and strategic initiatives to drive business results.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages, coaches, develops, motivates, and evaluates a team of Instructional Designers

  • Consults with Learning Architects, HR Business Partners, and Business Unit partners to assess, decision, and onboard internally developed learning projects

  • Leads designers in project onboarding, needs analysis, scoping, design, development, and implementation while maintaining scope, high quality, and adhering to timelines

  • Identifies and analyzes problems and incorporates novel ideas, innovative thinking, and formal tools to formulate solutions

  • Performs project management on multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and compressed timelines

  • Manages the portfolio of solutions ensuring routine maintenance of existing courses

  • Collaborates with Learning Solution Manager and team to refine internal processes, procedures, and governance

  • Partners with internal measurement team to assess effectiveness of instructional strategies

  • Manages client interactions and expectations; facilitates meetings; serves as project escalation point for IDs and business partners

  • Sets appropriate team goals and assists others in meeting objectives

  • Manages vendor relationships

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related area

  • Four (4) years of experience instructional design or equivalent experience

  • Project lead, supervisory, or managerial experience

Preferences

  • Master’s Degree in Instructional Design or related field

  • Banking experience

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
