May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete an assignment or project.SUMMARY:Design, develop, manage and support all HRO's IT systems, provide Business Intelligence(BI) initiatives and operations, provide support, monitor, and analyze information and data systems, and provide daily onsite maintenance of new and existing IT platforms, solutions, and services in support of the Human Resources Office (HRO) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) mission.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide current design and .NET technologies meeting industry best practices in developing, updating, maintaining, and modifying HRO's Information Technology environments.Adhere to CDC and Federal standard development guidelines, concepts, practices, and procedures. Work with project stakeholders and is a team player.Support, provide, maintain, or improve existing HRO IT services. Ensure all content developed will incorporate appropriate health communication strategy, industry best practices, Section 508, and plain language standards.Work across Centers and Programs as required to maintain content or services developed by HRO.Responsible for writing, copy-editing, and proofreading all old and new Web or SharePoint content and ensure all content meets established content standards.Provide metric reporting utilizing industry's best practices. Reporting applications will consist of specific software experience with PowerBI and Sequal Server Reporting Services.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field required.Five (5) or more years of professional experience.Demonstrated proficiency with MS Access. Java, CSS, MS SQL, ASP, interface and link SQL services to web-based applications (ASP) and database management best practices.Demonstrate knowledge and skillin Microsoft Office tools, Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Site Catalyst, Adobe Photoshop, Beyond Compare, and Visio. Knowledge of WordPress, Percussion Rhythmyx, and/or Accenture also desirable.Demonstrate knowledge of Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act as it applies to digital media and products.
