Latitude, Inc. Network Administrator in Arlington, Virginia
Responsibilities
Hands-on engineering work: Install, configure and manage network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers and APs, SSL, VPN networks etc.).
Maintain standards-based network designs for multiple sites and backbone infrastructure.
Ensure network devices are configured and maintained in accordance with appropriate standards, best practices, and compliance requirements. Utilize and follow the change management process for network changes.
Performance analysis and capacity planning for network circuits and devices
Work with other members of the team and service providers to implement solutions on system related problems to minimize operational impact.
Work with the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices.
Oversee network performance, utilization, anticipate problems and suggest solutions.
Requires staying current on network engineering and automation approaches.
In a timely manner respond to emergency situations during and outside of normal business hours.
Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices.
Locate areas for automation or other process improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of Network Engineering experience in a network environment.
Strong routing and switching skills with experience working in Corporate network environments.
Solid understanding of the TCP/IP stack (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, SFTP, SMTP, HSRP, LDAP, HSRP, VRRP, 802.1x etc.)
Must be highly technical with hands-on ability in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless and network monitoring tools.
Solid experience in Cisco platform (IOS, IOSXE, NXOS), Cisco UCS, Cisco ASR, Cisco Nexus and SilverPeak SD-WAN.
Proficient in private and public WAN technologies (VPN, MPLS, VPLS, DIA). Experience in F5 Load Balancers will be a strong plus.
Knowledge of technologies related to MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF and Traffic Engineering.
Great communication skills.
Cloud networking experience in Azure or AWS are a strong plus.
