Director & Principal Project Planning/Scheduling Engineer
As a Director & Principal Project Planning/Scheduling Engineer with Cerner, you will be responsible for program-wide schedule management for our Federal client. This will include ownership of the traceability between the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). You will create and oversee wide-ranging, resource loaded project schedules as well as plan and direct cross-functional teams. This role will allow you to act as a trusted advisor, subject-matter expert and escalation point for the client through building and maintaining relationships, strategic consultation and resolution of issues. In scope will be to develop and lead strategies to improve client satisfaction and referenceability, in conjunction with leading regular service reviews with client leadership to track performance against KPIs and other goals and create and advance tailored roadmaps to drive client value through improved operational and financial results. You will detect and redirect resource over-allocation as well as manage major product deliverables for the program and provide visibility to management and the customer. Responsibilities will also include directing and overseeing complex project schedules, interfacing with multiple divisions and activities, identify requirements, and develop into a uniform overall project plan. You will perform risk analysis and provide briefs to both internal stakeholders and the customer. You will be responsible for Contract Budget Allocations, process all Baseline Change Requests and maintain Program Logs. Finally, you will utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) methods to provide support for Program Management Reviews and conduct Integrated Baseline reviews and Program Management Review (PMR).

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 10 years of project/program management work experience including planning, scheduling, and/or risk assessment
Strong expertise with Federal government EVMS standards and guidelines
Strong familiarity with Critical Path Methods (CPM)
Prior experience with Sub-contractor relationships
MS Project, MS Project Server, or MS Project Professional
Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care, Information Technology or a related field
At least 8 years of project/program management work experience including planning, scheduling, and/or risk assessment for federal government projects/programs
Experience with DCMA and/or GAO standards
Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Washington, DC area
Willing to travel up to 25% as needed
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
