Inspire Business Development Manager - Promote in Arlington, Virginia
Location: Remote; due to client locations our preference is either East Coast (Boston to D.C) or West Coast (San Francisco to San Diego); but flexible for the right candidate

Inspire, the largest social network for patients and caregivers, has significant product development initiatives ahead to help drive online member growth and sales to top pharmaceutical, research, and medical device companies and their agencies. We are searching for a Business Development Manager to work with our Promote team. Inspire has a mission to accelerate medical research through a world of connected patients and the products and services we offer help people in very tangible ways. In this position you will be part of a growing business development team and play a critical role growing and guiding Inspire's digital advertising initiatives. Assist Inspire?s Business Development team in selling Inspire?s promotional advertising services to agencies and pharmaceutical companies.
Vet all inbound sales inquiries
Assist writing proposals, grants, and negotiating contracts.
Assist maintaining sales lead pipeline by identifying key contacts and acquiring key lead criteria for each account.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of Inspire?s Promote products (banner and activity summary advertising, targeted emails, sponsored content, sponsored resource center).
Help schedule meetings and presentations with clients and prospects
Assist with live and online, C-level client presentations
Document all activities in CRM software (Salesforce)
Leverage Salesforce and other communication and research tools to prepare, coordinate, and develop a strategy for initial prospect engagements
Collaborate with Client Services, Product, Data Science and Marketing teams
Deliver against monthly and quarterly lead-to-pipeline conversion goals
Work cross functionally with Inspire client services, market research and marketing teams
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor?s degree in related field required
5 years experience supporting or selling healthcare digital advertising services (via agencies and/or pharmaceutical companies) is desired.
Highly organized, detail oriented, and is able to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to take initiative to deeply learn about our products and service offerings, the markets and customers we work within in order to generate thoughtful leads and targets
Capable of working independently and collaboratively to solve problems
Knowledge about social media applications and how they apply to healthcare is desired.
Drive targeted, multi-channel outreach efforts (ie, phone, email, social, web, etc) to target new leads and new market segments
Manage campaign analytics and provide regular campaign results reporting
An entrepreneurial spirit and drive, and willingness to learn.
Proven experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience with Salesforce CRM is required
Ability to travel to client meetings
