D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Help Desk Systems Specialist for their Corporate IT Department. The right candidate will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing the enterprise systems that support all DRH IT Support Services and activities related to hardware, software and other IT related issues. This position is responsible for supporting enterprise applications, ensuring that they are configured to meet defined functional requirements, conducting application upgrades and application enhancements in alignment with a defined Change Management Process, and maintaining systems documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • SCCM Administrator for Image processing and Software Deployment including but not limited to Firmware updates, Software Updates, Software Package creation.

  • Cherwell IT Service Manager Administration – including but not limited to upgrades, enhancements, configuration in alignment with a defined Change Management Process

  • Responsible for testing, evaluation and implementation of approved implementations, changes, and/or enhancements to IT systems.

  • Identify potential impacts of processes or changes to existing systems/processes and guide implementation to ensure operational reliability.

  • Develops & maintains troubleshooting, training/job aid content, and testing documentation.

  • Responsible for hardware deployment within the DRH Corporate Offices

  • Support special projects

  • Coordinate with other staff, functional users, and appropriate vendors to account for security, sustainability, disaster recovery, and business continuity measures in all solutions.

  • Serve as technical contact and mentor for IT Support Specialists to transfer business and technical knowledge

  • Perform technical escalation

  • Researches and resolves hardware and software application problems

  • Serve as a reserve member of the Corporate IT Help Desk when called upon.

  • Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software and hardware issues.

  • Responsible for all imaging of hardware and verifying that end user equipment is up to date prior to them receiving it.

  • Maximizes use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions.

  • Maintains system capability by testing computer components.

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have extensive experience with Microsoft SCCM and Cherwell IT Service Manager, Microsoft Windows 8/10 Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2013, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Print Services, Microsoft Office 2016/O365, Microsoft Forefront Virus Protection, PowerShell automation scripting. JDEdwards experience preferred but not required. AS/400 experience is a plus. Experience with Radmin/VNC/Dameware or other remote connectivity software a plus. Experience with Zeacom, Capterra, Aspect or other call center IVR software a plus. Windows phone support. Experience with Avaya IPO/PBX a plus.
