This person will primarily serve clients at power generation and other heavy industrial facilities, such as fuels, natural gas, and mining facilities. Typical assignments may include managing projects, preparing design drawings and specifications, completing engineering calculations and analyses, selecting equipment and components, writing technical reports, preparing sketches for system arrangement, developing details of designs, and preparing cost estimates and bid packages. The work may involve short-term, out-of-town assignments. Minimum Qualifications ulliBachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering /lili6+ years of related work experience/liliProfessional Engineer (PE) certification, or ability to obtain within one year/liliFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software, Computer Simulation Modeling/liliStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills/liliWillingness to work cooperatively in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative/liliDemonstrated project organization and management skills/liliFlexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs/liliWillingness to work short-term, out-of-town assignments/liliClient service aptitude and experience/liliAcceptable driving record/liliLegal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship/li/ul Preferred Qualifications ulli10+ years of working on projects directly related to job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering or industrial workplace/liliWork experience in an industrial setting/liliBackground/experience working on industrial construction projects/liliExperience working directly with clients /liliDemonstrated project or task management skills/li/ul NOTE: Some work locations will feature the rough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment. Safety training will be provided prior to being given work assignments on these sites.
