Job Description Summary
The Hydro EMEA EHS Manager leads the regional EHS team and is responsible to provide leadership and support to the Hydro Regional leaders. He/She develops & implements an EHS strategy that supports Hydro Regional operations to ensure compliance & improvements in EHS key performance indicators.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure all Hydro EMEA operations are carried out in compliance with applicable regulatory and GE requirements
Develop strong working relationship with the EMEA leadership team, project directors and location managers in the region to help drive the expected EHS culture across all operations, including projects, services and manufacturing
Build, support day-to-day and professionally develop the EMEA EHS team directly reporting to him/her
Develop and lead the Strategic EMEA EHS Action Plan
Ensure each project or service activity has a regional EHS Manager assigned to it.
Develop quarterly EHS audit plan and ensure its completion by the EMEA EHS team. Perform EHS audits, as needed.
Support in global EHS initiatives to drive continuous improvement in EHS programs, and the way they are implemented across sites.
Lead the ISO 14001 & 45001 accreditation across EMEA.
Drive increased use of Digital Programs and tools across EMEA, aligned with Hydro Global.
Conduct, support the EMEA EHS team and validate ITO reviews to help the business being successful in gaining orders.
Help identifying Site based EHS managers for projects and services sites and support their development to ensure appropriate EHS coverage and successful EHS execution of the project.
Coordinate EHS event investigations and follow-up, as required.
Prepare and participate to monthly P&S and GSC EHS reviews
Deliver EHS training to EMEA population, as required.
Ensure all internal and external EHS reporting is completed on time and with accuracy
Implement Projects & Services Framework 2.0 in EMEA region and support GSC EHS team in implementing it for their location in the region.
Drive ComplyWorks implementation within the region to ensure proper selection of contractors.
- This role requires significant experience in the Environmental, Health & Safety, especially for Projects & Services. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
