Job Description: Site Superintendent


Must be a U.S. Citizen with a clean Criminal and Counter-Intelligence Background Check to access the project site. Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a CI poly is preferred but not a requirement.


12 Years of General Construction experience on building infrastructure, including electrical or mechanical construction projects. Capable of directly managing construction work, simultaneous tasks, and balancing numerous priorities, with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to read/interpret construction drawings and construction documents.

  • Conversant with Microsoft Office suite of programs.

  • Strong communication skills, including directing construction work, on-site.

  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders including customers, subcontractors, field labor, vendors, consultants and government stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of job budgeting, task planning and scheduling.

  • Knowledge of site safety management.

  • Experience with managing material deliveries and site logistics.

  • OSHA 10 training; OSHA 30 preferred.

  • Construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control understanding and oversight, including the 3-phases of control and related quality experience.

  • Willingness and ability to work in Anchorage, AK at a remote government facility; local job applicant preferred, but not required.

  • A commitment of 32 months to the AMOC project from 5/1/21 to 12/31/2023 is required.

Job Description:

The Site Superintendent demonstrates competency in job planning and management, with a strong ability to meet deadlines and execute work safely. Attention to detail is critical to success in this job as is the ability to communicate, both up and down the chain of command.

The job entails organization and focus on managing multiple subcontractors, work crews and project personnel. It involves preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately. Other duties include coordinating construction work in accordance with contractual requirements,

phasing plans and owner needs. Forecasting and re-forecasting are part of the job. This includes providing look-ahead schedules and arranging critical mechanical and electrical outages necessary to complete the work.

The Site Superintendent works closely with the M.C. Dean project team on all aspects of the project, including planning, resource management, staging of work and coordination of trades.

The Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of construction: safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on position, requiring a focus on results, and a willingness to solve problems that arise in the field.
