Providence Senior Medical Staff Office Coordinator in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Senior Medical Staff Office Coordiantor (Medical Staff Office, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Have knowledge of the latest recommendations from The Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies. Assist with regulatory requirements in reference to accreditation.
Provide support to Medical Staff and Peer Review Director and Manager, Medical Staff Coordinators, and Quality team working with MSOW.
Provide quarterly reports including: audits of credentialing and privileging turn around times, audits timeliness of application processing, audits credentials files for integrity.
Perform and document results for audits of all new provider credentials files, and randomized monthly audits of reappointment files to ensure Bylaw threshold criteria and Joint Commission standards are adhered to.
Monitor licensure, board certification, insurance, and life support expiration dates for all providers.
Manage type two credentials files, and partners with Medical Staff Coordinator to create a due diligence report. Report red flags to the Credentials Committee and follow through with requests from committee.
Present Credentials Report to Credentials Committee.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Currently employed in a medical staff office setting with 5 or more years of related experience in medical staff services
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification within 1 year of hire
Experience in word processing and the use of menu driven computer applications
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Associate's Degree
