Accountemps is always looking for thorough Billing Assistants to help maintain a smooth and accurate flow of revenue by compiling, managing, and executing billing through invoicing customers or vendors. Are you a Billing Assistant who is familiar with keeping billing records organized and do you possess a high attention to detail when reviewing records for errors?

Ideal candidates will have experience with the following responsibilities:
Prepare billing in a timely manner and by due date
Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies
Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates etc.)
Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill
Issue invoices and bills and send them to customers through various channels (mail, e- mail, e-bill, etc.)
Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned
Enter cash receipts - update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding bills
Report on activity to upper management with billing issues
Enter budgets when requested

Proven experience as billing clerk or general accounting experience
Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, especially Excel)
Working knowledge of relevant software for several e-billing sites
Excellent math ability
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Works with a sense of urgency
Works well with others in a team environment
Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times
Basic office skills: Experience using a copier/scanner, making labels, answering and transferring calls
Ability to take direction well and able to execute in a timely manner
At least one year of college
