About the Role

Diageo Netherlands is part of Diageo Northern Europe: a cluster consisting of Benelux, GASP & Nordics. It is a diverse and exciting business with local and global customers operating across on-trade, off trade and RTM. The Key Account Manager will take responsibility over a group of customers in the Dutch Retail universe.

Responsibilities include:

Responsibility of customer performance against set financial targets & executional standards

  • Deliver customer KPIs & financials targets

  • Design and implement basic annual customer plans focusing on promotional support and distribution

  • Monitor performance & customer profitability and undertaking corrective action when/where needed

  • Demonstrate strong commitment for Diageo’s internal compliance policies.

  • Flawless execution of operational workstream on promotional planning, innovations, distribution opportunities and other projects

Execute implementation of the channel plan and create strong customer plans to unlock growth opportunities

  • Create and track a solid customer plan and ensure execution of the plan is done brilliantly

  • Identify new opportunities for incremental business and proactively turn these ideas and initiative to action

  • Secure successful sell-in & implementation of activity plans developed & aligned with Customer Activation team

  • Support the digital agenda at the customer in close collaboration with Diageo Dcom team

  • Negotiate and implement the annual contracts of the customers

Excellence in building customer relationships

  • Manage strong internal processes for forecasting, promo planning and M&E in line with agreed plans

  • Deliver brilliant customer service at every touch point

  • Secure Diageo is known for our agility and easy to do business with

About You

This is a key role within the Dutch commercial organisation so if you are looking for an exciting position that has an impact, this one is for you. To be successful, you have several years of experience in a Key Account Management position within a FMCG company.

Experience required/Skills/capabilities/Languages

  • Min. 3 years’ experience in a Key Account Management/Sales role in an FMCG environment

  • University degree (or equivalent), ideally in business administration/economics

  • Solid analytical skills

  • Strong presentation capabilities

  • Ability to interact and deliver change through different levels

  • Team player, focus on total team delivery

  • Positive energy, solution oriented, self-confident in own area, strong team player, committed to own development, pro-active, structured way of working, strong analytical skills

  • Fluent in Dutch & English
