Quality Nurse Coordinator - Daylight - Monday-Friday - Full time - 40hrs
Support multidisciplinary quality improvement functions organizationally to achieve the highest quality and best possible outcomes for the patient and to support the various hospital functions related to development, implementation and evaluation of performance improvement initiatives.
Reviews and extracts patient information from the medical recordDemonstrates innovation and leads change through process flow/analysisDemonstrates expertise in PI/CQI and with methods such as lean, Toyota and or six sigmaInterprets and analyzes data and identifies areas for improvement Leads core measure and other processes teams Uses measurement and analytics skills to identify areas for improvementExhibits knowledge of the fiscal implications of quality outcomes Improves processes

BS/BSN degree required at time of hire/transfer, Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
Must be able to demonstrate skills to understand and interpret data
Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.
Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment.

Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others.
Mobility and visual manual dexterity.
Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: UPMC approved national certification preferred.
