RELX Group U.S. Connected Car Product Manager in Alpharetta, Georgia

Responsible for product development across mobile and web initiatives. Defines product requirements through collaboration with engineers, designers, suppliers and customers. Leverages job stories and rapid user testing to ready initiatives for development. Compiles and evaluates research on the market's product requirements and identifies enhancements to current features and functionality. Prepares and coordinates product introductions and updates.

The Product Manager is expected to:

  • Define the product marketing strategy and roadmap

  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product

  • Perform product demos to customers

  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals

  • Deliver a monthly revenue forecast

  • Develop sales tools and collateral

  • Solve complex problems

  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

  • Functional Knowledge:

  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area

  • Be an expert with respect to the competition

Business Expertise: Has knowledge of mobile/web user experience and development best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market Leadership: Occasionally leads the work of small project teams; provides informal guidance to junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past

  • Insurance, automotive and/or IOT industry experience a plus
