Senior Instructional Designer of Leadership & Professional Development ProgramsJob LocationsUS-RemoteRequisition ID 2021-18532 # of Openings 1 Category (Portal Searching) TrainingOverviewThe Senior Instructional Designer and Course Development will be responsible for the overall strategy and execution of course development for Providers or Retrievals Operations. The position will partner cross-functionally with operation's leaders, compliance and subject matter experts to assess needs, establish course development priorities, and manage the design, development and TTT of highly engaging and interactive learning solutions including instructor-led, eLearning, video, virtual-ILT, live simulations, case studies, etc., utilizing best practices in instructional design to ensure that programs represent a modern and effective learning experience. This position will report to the Learning & Development Leader - Operations.ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementConsults with operations leaders and subject matter experts to assess business needs and scope the learning and development needs for the project in terms of resources, learning objectives, output milestones, budget, and timeline.Drives overall project management and oversight of all learning design and development ensuring stakeholders are appropriately informed and supportive of design decisions and strategies, iterations and learning approach.Design & DevelopmentPursue a deep understanding of learner roles to ensure that learning solutions meet intended learning outcomes.Collaborate with platform developers on the features and functions needed to deliver innovative learning activities.Incorporate feedback from subject matter experts while managing the version control process.Apply instructional design techniques to build conceptual and detailed design plans for complex learning initiatives.Determine whether to build, buy or curate content to meet the needs of the business.Design and create storyboards for the development of learning modules and training material.Develop classroom, online or virtual instruction and Micro Learning with high-impact simulations, exercises, job aids, manuals, role plays and visual concepts and graphics to support the learning solution.Develop learning assessments and/or tools to measure learning effectiveness.Implementation & EvaluationDeliver effective interactive training sessions andmaterials that facilitate application of knowledge and learningPublish learning solution content ensuring targeted audience accessPartner with Training Coordinators as needed on LMS registration, course administration, and logistics, etc.Manage published files hosted on the LMS.Evaluate effectiveness of instructional strategies, methods, technologies and tools by measuring whether the results of learning solutions met learning objectives and performance goalsQualificationsBachelor's degree required; learning & instructional design, learning technologies or like discipline.
