Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for an IT Applications Analyst- FI at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The position could also be available as a work from home opportunity in any U.S. location.

The IT Applications Analyst is responsible for requirements definition, application analysis and functional design of new solutions as well as performing operational system support within SAP FI General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, In-House Cash Management, and Banking. Included in the responsibility of this position is the delivery of enhancements and maintenance of existing applications, meeting service level agreements, product and lifecycle management for SAP, SAP-integrated and non-SAP service areas. The individual will be responsible to drive sustainable, operational excellence in the delivery of new application enhancements and existing services.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing technical direction in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, deployment, maintenance for bug fixes and enhancements related to SAP Financial, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and In-House Cash Management, Banking, Financial Supply Chain Management, (Dispute, Credit and Collections Management), and related interfaces

  • Facilitating business process discussions, to gather and clearly document business requirements which ensure value-add and meet the client objectives

  • Creating test strategies and ensuring all functionality is tested prior to production deployment

  • Working with the Change and Release Management team to ensure representation and coordination of projects throughout the change and release process

  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful completion of projects

  • Actively participating in design discussions and program functional reviews

  • Continuously drive excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability, and lowering total costs

  • Delivering and maintaining existing services, resolving incidents and problem management, and meeting SLAs as well as providing rotational on call coverage

  • Managing SAP background job schedule modifications and additions and working with the IT Batch Management Team and Automic scheduler

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years’ experience of configuration in SAP Financial, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and In-House Cash Management, Banking, Financial Supply Chain Management, (Dispute, Credit and Collections Management)

  • Proven understanding of SAP and the integration points with other SAP modules and non-SAP systems

  • Ability to resolve complex business requirements via SAP configured solutions; strong troubleshooting skills

  • Able to work with minimal direction

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to build excellent vendor relationships and demonstrate product management skills

  • Experience in Configuration in Intercompany, Asset Account, Tax Account, Product Costing, or Project Systems (not required)

  • SAP S4HANA experience a plus, but not required
