The Bowen Group Sr. Administrative Assistant in Alexandria, Virginia

Ready to jump on board with the industry leader in the provision of wellness services to the military and Veteran communities? The Bowen Group is seeking a highly organized, experienced individual to fill the role of Sr. Administrative Assistant on our fast-paced team. This is a full-time position located at The Mark Center, in Alexandria, VA.

  • Oversee all aspects of general office coordination, including coordinating work flow and meeting schedules

  • Prepare correspondence, reports and agendas

  • Manage conference calendar and reservations

  • Schedule and maintain the Director's calendars, and Deputy Director's as needed, and make logistical arrangements necessary to ensure timely arrival at various meeting locations, to include travel arrangements, if needed

  • Schedule and maintain the Office calendar to ensure accountability of office personnel and meeting facility usage and submit daily calendar to Director and Deputy Director at the beginning of each working day

  • Provide administrative support for meetings to include consolidating portfolio input, printing meeting materials, ensuring teleconference is secured, and managing invitation list

  • Compile, transcribe, and publish meeting minutes

  • Provide support for visitors’ meetings with Director and Deputy Director to include providing visitor building escort support as needed, parking reservations and coordination assistance

  • Provide support answering main office phone

  • Additional duties, as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 7-10 years of experience providing administrative support

  • Must be familiar with Office of the Secretary of Defense and Department of Defense writing styles as contained in DoD Manual 5110.04-M, Volume 1, DoD Manual for Written Material: Correspondence Management and DoD 5110.04-M, Volume 2, DoD Manual for Written Material: Examples and Reference Material

  • Experience using CATMs/TMT and DTS

  • Strong organizational, time-management and communication skills

  • Familiarity with the military and veteran community programs a plus

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain a favorable background check
