The Weapons and Force Protection Business Operations organization (Department 10665) is looking for a Business Management Professional that enjoys working with a phenomenal team!
The selected candidate will perform cost and schedule analysis, communicate cost and schedule performance concerns and issues to technical management and the project lead/project team, work to identify risks, develop corrective actions, and implement changes in the scheduling tool as needed. They will interface regularly with the business lead for 06510 as well as internal technical partners.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
Plan, monitor, control, and report on project cost/schedule/scope to include total project spending vs. budget/funding, commitments, burn rates, and forecasts
Design, develop, update, monitor, and control schedules and support status updates to the customers in accordance to an agreed statement of work
Provide communications to internal and external partners in collaboration with the technical leads and technical project managers
Support all internal and external reviews, assessments, and audits
Develop and update project plans, work breakdown structures, resource loaded schedules, and work packages, as applicable
Develop and update project budgets, funding, and schedules
Prepare, validate, analyze, and maintain cost estimates, budgets, and monthly cost variance reports as needed
Prepare and support Program Management Reviews
Provide inputs to the Center 06500 Annual Programmatic Projections process
Process and request new funding, including direct, SPP, IEW, and LDRD procedures
Some travel is required for this position.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field plus 5 years related experience; or equivalent combinatin of experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
Financial experience with ARC, PET/CET, and cost estimating tools
Active DOE L-level security clearance (or DOD equivalent)
Occasional travel may be required
Experience as a P6 scheduler - resource loaded schedules
Experience in P6 resource loaded schedule design/development, forecasting, and maintenance of multi-year schedules
Knowledge of Variance Analysis Reporting
Knowledge of procurement related activities at a basic level
The ability to perform under pressure and prioritize results and competing target dates from multiple customers
Willing to take initiative and ownership of job responsibilities, and make appropriate decisions to complete tasks
Experience with project monitoring and controls
Experience resource monitoring, validation, analysis, and reporting to include status, forecasts, and corrective action recommendations to support project scope and budget
Experience with support of change control processes and implementation of scope/schedule/funding changes
Experience with project reporting and presentation preparation
Experience working with external DOE customers, Sandia internal Sr. Leadership
