Search Strategist, Global Digital Marketing

Location: East Coast Remote - US

This position is part of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which develops, manufactures, and markets blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,500 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.

We are looking for an experienced Search Strategist to join our Digital Experience team within the Global Marketing department! In this role you will help deliver on global business directives in both a B2B & B2C markets by championing and growing our organic search program as well as developing, managing, and optimizing paid search campaigns across the globe. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and effective problem-solver with validated experience working across an organization to get things done.


  • Apply SEM/PPC standard methodologies to deliver efficient & effective global campaigns.

  • Coordinate across diverse teams to deploy & run various digital campaigns in multiple countries and languages

  • Ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization

  • Manage campaign expenses in line with budget, estimating monthly costs, and reconciling discrepancies

  • Execute tests and analyze data, identifying trends and insights to achieve maximum campaign return on investment.

  • Partner with content creators to generate creative advertising copy


  • Plan & develop short-term and long-term SEO strategies

  • Strategize on implementation of SEO standard methodologies and tactics, including sophisticated keyword research, technical changes, internal linking, site structure, keyword cannibalization diagnoses, competitive analysis, link auditing, and link building

  • Analyze performance and find opportunities to continually test and iterate on content to improve both user experience (e.g., onsite engagement & conversion) and SERP performance (e.g., CTR, rankings).

  • Expand our English based program to support additional regions & languages by partnering with local teams

  • Collaboration with agencies/vendors, development teams, site manager, & content creators



  • 2+ years personally handling SEO & SEM strategy, execution, & optimization.

  • Solid understanding of SEM/SEO standard methodologies.

  • Ability to connect with a primarily English-speaking team

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Resourcefulness—creative use of resources to proactively address problems and get the job done

  • Comfortable juggling multiple, concurrent projects with tight deadlines

  • Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Conductor, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console etc.)

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel & website analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Omniture)

  • This position requires international travel – up to 25%, as required

  • High School Diploma Required, advanced degree preferred

Desired (Bonus Points!)

  • Experience with Adobe Marketing Stack, including Adobe Advertising Cloud Search & DSP, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager, etc.

  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Experience Manager and other CMS’s

  • Experience with page speed, crawling and indexing diagnoses, structured data, mobile responsiveness, UX/UI

  • Strong technical background and technical SEO experience

  • Multi-lingual to assist in writing ad copy in multiple languages

  • Experience working on a remote team
