What does a great Data Analytics Advisor do?
The Data Analytics Advisor will be part of the Enterprise Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (EBCDR) group reporting to a Departmental Head. An EBCDR Tools Administrator will assist in the development, implementation, testing, education and maintenance of the EBCDR tool of record, used globally to ensure regulatory compliant business continuity and disaster recovery documentation. The individual will work in conjunction with the EBCDR team and business contacts to ensure a high level of program awareness globally. Additionally, this role will support the compilation of critical preparedness of Key Performance Indicators leveraged during incidents and/or in the event of emergency or disaster. This role will assist in the implementation of system enhancements to the EBCDR tool of record to adhere to Enterprise Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Policies and Standards while providing guidance to Business Units and EBCDR team members to ensure correct and efficient data capture.
As a Data Analytics Advisor, you can look forward to:
Data analysis to develop dashboards for the EBCDR team providing actionable data-driven insights
Mature EBCDR Metrics & Reporting program including automation
Assist in the governance and oversight of all EBCDR datasets
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of data feeds to other corporate information sources
Develop effective methodology for new data capture based on regulatory and EBCDR business requirements; enhance existing data capture methodology
Assist in new technical implementations including the use of SSO and REST APIs
Provide subject matter expertise for all Business Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, methodology and best practices
Develop and implement controls and/or solutions to complex business problems to ensure risks and exposures are properly mitigated.
Operate EBCDR toolset used to maintain all resiliency-related documentation (BIA's, plans, test scope and results, metrics and reporting, etc.)
Participate in regional audit & regulatory reviews as required that include Business Resiliency & Disaster Recovery
Basic qualifications for consideration:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with industry recognized Professional Certification (preferred).
5+ years of related experience in an analytical position.
Possess knowledge of all technologies relevant to responsibilities, with a strong understanding of relational databases and reporting technology such as Tableau, Microsoft BI, or similar data analytics platforms
Classified as a subject matter expert of analytics, data science, business intelligence, business resiliency / disaster recovery concepts and methodology, along with payments industry best practices
Project management experience with maintaining detailed project plans and documentation
Experience with developing, testing, and deploying technical changes
A mind for process, a passion for data, attention to detail, and a willingness to take on tough challenges
Available during off duty hours and willingness to travel to regional Fiserv facilities as necessary
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with a broad range of constituencies, including senior executives
Strong analytical framework and advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) skills required
Planning, and development of plans against a defined strategy, paired with a track record of strong tactical Line of Business experience a plus
