Abbott Senior Product Manager, Clinical Marketing - Abbott Diabetes Care in Alameda, California

Position Summary:

The Sr. Product Manager, Clinical Marketing will help drive downstream clinical marketing initiatives including tools and programs to support thought leader engagement, advocacy development and advancing the standard of care for the FreeStyle Libre systems portfolio and diabetes care.

The candidate in this position will develop, launch and train to new clinical marketing materials to support education, product sales and promote the clinical value proposition. Responsible for analysis, planning, and implementation of tactical programs.

This position will support a Peer to Peer program, speaker’s bureau working closely in developing and training healthcare providers on clinically relevant, regulatory approved materials. Other aspects of the Peer to Peer program includes: vendor management, supporting the sales and DSPLs teams, coordinating with speakers and developing clinical content for speaker’s decks.

This role will work very closely with the Diabetes Strategic Partnership Liaisons, Medical Science Liaisons, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, Compliance, Sales Training and other key channels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the clinical data that exists today and, in the future, to drive clinical strategies and tactics.

  • Create and launch clinically-based marketing materials to the field teams to support a deeper understanding of continuous glucose monitoring and diabetes care.

  • Partners with Sales Training on the roll out and clinical training for the Diabetes Strategic Partnership Liaison Team

  • Supports the Peer to Peer program and podium strategy at diabetes conferences

  • Supports management of agencies for programs and tools

  • Creates and executes clinical content in multiple vehicles including speaker’s decks, digital and other promotional materials

  • Leads the output of relevant clinical publications to field teams

  • Monitors the market for new publications, clinical information to provide enriching information to leadership and tools to field teams

  • Acts as the primary liaison between marketing and medical affairs.

  • Assist with budget management for clinical marketing programs, to ensure budget is maximized to have the greatest impact.

  • Attend local, regional and national meetings as directed.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 4 years’ experience, with at least two years’ experience in marketing or product management, or MBA with 3 years of related experience. Previous medical industry experience preferred. Additional preferred requirements: Advanced degree preferred: PharmD, Certified Diabetes Educator, Master’s in Science, Ph.D., MBA
