As a teaching affiliate of Northeast Ohio Medical University and other universities, we train new generations of pediatricians, specialists, nurses and pharmacists every year.OUR PROMISESTo treat every child as we would our ownTo treat others as they would like to be treatedTo turn no child away for any reasonWe are seeking people who are committed to fostering a diverse environment in which patients, family and staff from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences are welcomed, included and can thrive.Outpatient Feeding ClinicFull TimeDay ShiftMonday through FridaySummary:The Dietitian assesses patients for nutritional status and risk factors, performs nutrition consults for identified concerns, provides nutrition counseling, monitors and makes recommendations for specialized nutrition support, participates on the patient care team, provides nutrition education and training, and participates in professional/research activities.Responsibilities:1.Screens patients for nutritional risk factors, documents screens and follows-up in medical record.2.Performs nutrition assessments and consults.3.Provides nutrition counseling individualized to patient needs addressing educational ability, cultural factors and economic/social concerns.4.Provides appropriate recommendations for specialized nutrition support.5.Prepares and presents nutrition in-services for medical students, residents, nurses, nutrition students and other health care professionals.6.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.7.Other duties as required.Other information:Technical Expertise1.Experience in Nutrition and Dietetics is required2.Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.3.Experience in Pediatric healthcare is preferred.4.Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.Education and Experience1.Education: Bachelor's degree in Dietetics is required.
