Amentum Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineer Level 4 in AIKEN, South Carolina
Amentum is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineer Level 4 to be based in our Aiken, SC location. The Engineer is responsible for perform a variety of engineering assignments. Employee will conduct assessments, aid various customers with maintenance work control issues, solve problems and work as a consultant. This may include site visits and walkdowns as well as temporary reassignment to solve problems at customer sites. May be required to prepare and deliver technical papers or proposals. Propose solutions to complicated technical problems. Coach and mentor existing staff on projects and provide new or insightful ideas to existing problems.
Ability to work independently and directly with customers and clients.
Excellent communication skills and professional attitude.
Ability to conduct assessments and audits, independent assessments, or readiness reviews or similar within DOE facilities.
Ability to function as a consultant in solving problems.
History of developing or working with work packages.
Familiarity with at least one maintenance/plant operations software package (Smart Plant or Champs or Maximo).
Adequate technical skills to read and understanding drawings, diagrams, procurement packages, P&IDs, or similar.
Computer competency in use of Excel, MS Word.
Experience working with Design Change Control (specifically change orders and Temporary Modifications)
Experience working with Lock Out/Tag Out programs
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and at least 7 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Good communications and analytical skills; Position will require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.

Master’s Degree or Professional Engineering Licensure
Lead in a maintenance organization, within a DOE facility.
