SUMMARY
Maintain and /or repair flight training devices (FTDs) in accordance with Regulatory Authority requirements and company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform standard Simulator support activities such as: operation, inspection, periodic maintenance (align & adjust), of Simulator components and systems
Perform Customer configuration changes to Simulators and FTDs, evaluate and confirm proper post change operation. This includes hardware, software, and avionics database change-outs
Able to quickly identify, troubleshoot, repair or replace most of the Simulator and FTD electrical and sub system components and most hydraulic system components with little to no assistance.
Must be familiar with all governing regulations required by the various approval authorities for the proper operation of all FTDs, the facility, and the safe employment of personnel.
Initiate or assist users in the documentation of discrepancies for the FTD’s logbook.
Must be knowledgeable of all Simulator Support, Quality Operating Procedures (QOPs), and related documentation.
Adhere to required work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
Report on a timely basis, any safety hazards observed in work area, equipment, and/or building to the appropriate person(s) for correction.
Supports published Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Business Processes.
Occasionally travel for training purposes or to assist others, as needed.
Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
Operate and maintain the following simulators listed.

Maintain simulators and ensure they are in working condition 24/7.
Travel to other CONUS installations where simulators are fielded ordeployed or where a unit is conducting extended training operations, such as NewEquipment Training or Mobilization Training; or to the simulator’s originalequipment manufacturer (OEM) facility to receive initial training.
May be required to enter into Temporary Duty (TDY) at another locationto support required training.
Travel required when assigned simulator is moved and used at adifferent location.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS

General knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, and Outlookrequired.
Familiarity with Microsoft Access preferred.
Knowledge of other software programs may be required, as needed.
PC literate and Basic Office equipment
CompTIA A and Security
Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications.
Fluency in Arabic as well is preferred.
Able to read and interpret documents.
Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to obtain a UAE Work Visa.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in electronics from a college or completion of acivilian/military electronics technical school preferred, plus two (2) years’experience, including:
Electronics technology, avionics or related civilian/militarytechnology; or
Equivalent direct experience with simulators or other FTDs
Education can be substituted by a combination of three (3) yearseducation and experience in a related field.
Must be able to:
Read and interpret technical drawings
Prior experience maintaining/operating at least one of the following simulators.

Use test equipment, support equipment and tools used on flightsimulators, graphical flight simulators (GFSs) and associated electronicsdevices
Demonstrate a good understanding of the advanced operating principlesof simulator and FTD subsystems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comply with OSHAstandards
Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting,stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable thesesenses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this positioncan be fully met.
This position is expected to have a duration of 12 months.
