Key highlights:

For the Meal Solutions group (Meat-free team, Culinary) in Brabrand, we are seeking an Application Technologist to assist us in servicing our external and internal customers. You will be part of the Meat-Free team based in Brabrand - with an excellent industry team and global knowledge sharing allowing us to challenge what’s possible and what will be the preferred Meat-Free/Plant-based/ Culinary solutions in the future.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Servicing our EMEA based customers within the Meat-Free industry/plant-based Applications

  • Execution of customer related practical tasks in close collaboration with colleagues in the group and across the entire Organization

  • Designing, executing and following up on pilot plant projects, trials mainly internally

  • Support developing new application solutions/concepts for the industry in line with the strategic objectives, that’s supporting market trends and new product launches

  • Training customers and colleagues in applications and pilot plant processes

  • Building a strong network with our key internal- and external stakeholders

  • Participation in our knowledge sharing activities across DuPont, Nutrition & BioScience


Essential qualifications:

  • Relevant educational background (Butcher or Chef combined with Food Technologist and min. 5 years working experience from Food Industry).

  • The ideal candidate has a strong background within the Meat-Free and/or Meat Industry and/or Culinary with a sound record of accomplishments.

  • Comprehensive hands-on technical insights coupled with a good commercial sense

  • Practical experience in working with manufacturing processes/pilot plants and analytical techniques, preferably within the meat/meat-free industry or similar

  • Practical experience in working with customer product developments tasks

  • Conduct various QC control measurements, product photo documentation and packaging of test products

  • Follow relevant QA/EHS instructions and participate in audits when needed

  • A positive attitude combined with a curious and creative mindset

  • Self-driven, takes responsibility, acts proactively and is good in organizing own work tasks and with a strong personal drive to push tasks forward

  • Structured working style – and acceptance of the trial results has not ended until the documentation is completed, and knowledge learnt has been shared

  • “Sufficiently” extrovert to enjoy interacting with and teaching and training customers and colleagues

  • Readiness for working in a busy environment where things and priorities are changing fast

  • Customer visits may be part of the job

  • Working well with people of different types and cultures and shows flexibility when required

  • English on a professional level

  • Good IT skills required
